«Red & Green» is the compilation album by Ali Farka Touré, released in 2004 by World Circuit as a double CD.
The double album brings together the two works the Malian guitarist released in the 1980s, Red and Green. They feature a Saharan-rooted blues woven with traditional Malian rhythms and songs, with Touré's guitar as the lead voice. These were the recordings that introduced his music outside Africa.
Recordings originally released on vinyl: Red in 1984 and Green in 1988. Remastered edition on two CDs with catalogue number WCD070 and a running time of 89 minutes.
For fans of African music and blues who want to discover the roots of the so-called desert blues.
