«Porgy and Bess» is the album by Oscar Peterson and Joe Pass, released by Pablo on CD.
Oscar Peterson plays the harpsichord and Joe Pass the acoustic guitar in this recording of pieces from «Porgy and Bess», the opera by George Gershwin. The result is chamber jazz, with a serene dialogue between keyboard and guitar, far from Peterson's usual trio.
Audio CD edition with one disc; the recording was made in a single studio session.
For jazz and Gershwin fans who appreciate small ensembles and acoustic sound.
