«Play» (also «Rest & Play E.P.») is the EP by British electronic music group Orbital, released in 2002 on the Ffrr label, on CD.
Play condenses Orbital's sound at the start of the 2000s: dance electronics with hypnotic rhythms, synthetic textures and a blend of trance and electro. The tracks «Rest» and «Play», which give the release its name, sum up the group's dual atmospheric and rhythmic side, with enveloping passages and dancefloor energy.
European edition on a single CD, with catalogue number FCDP407 and FFRR label; the images show the sticker «CD1 Orbital Rest and Play EP» on the cover.
Aimed at Orbital fans and enthusiasts of early-2000s trance and electro.
