«Platti: Cello Concertos» is the album by Giovanni Benedetto Platti with Stefano Veggetti and Ensemble Cordia, released in 2013 by Brilliant Classics, on CD.
The album brings together Baroque concertos by Giovanni Benedetto Platti, from the library of the Counts of Schönborn, with Stefano Veggetti as solo cellist and the Ensemble Cordia. It alternates concertos for obbligato cello with concerti grossi based on Corelli sonatas, showcasing the technical virtuosity typical of the late Baroque.
The recording was released in Europe as a single CD; Giovanni Benedetto Platti lived between 1697 and 1763.
A disc for fans of classical and Baroque music, particularly concertos with solo cello.
