«Planets» is the progressive rock and space rock album by German band Eloy, released by Msi on CD.
Eloy deploys progressive rock with enveloping textures, featuring expansive synthesizers, guitars and rhythm shifts that create a cosmic atmosphere. The reflective lyrics fit the album's space theme and its science-fiction cover. The whole combines the pulse of space rock with the craft of progressive rock.
The album was originally released in 1981; this CD reissue is remastered, in stereo and includes bonus tracks.
A reference work for fans of progressive rock and space rock.
