«Past Present» is a compilation by Irish band Clannad, released on CD.
A journey through the period when Clannad fused Celtic folk with pop and rock. It includes tracks from Clannad's albums released in the 1980s, with standout pieces such as «Theme from Harry's Game», «In a Lifetime» and «Robin (The Hooded Man)», plus instrumental cuts and songs in Gaelic.
The CD brings together 16 songs whose original recordings range from 1982 to 1989; the back cover reproduces a work by M.C. Escher.
For those seeking a first introduction to Clannad and Celtic folk with pop influence.
