«Origines Contrôlées» is the album by Mouss & Hakim, released in 2007 on Atmosphériques, on CD.
Mouss and Hakim revive and reinterpret a repertoire of songs from Algerian immigration in France, born of oral tradition and the influences of exile, with arrangements drawing on folk and country and lyrics in French, Arabic and Kabyle that reclaim the memory of that immigration as a living part of French identity.
The CD includes 13 tracks and was released in France. The album cover, on a greyish-blue background, shows an accordionist.
For listeners interested in Maghrebi roots music and committed song.
