«Handel: Organ Concertos, Op. 4» is the album by G. F. Handel with Simon Lindley, Northern Sinfonia and Bradley Creswick, released in 1998 by Naxos on CD.
This Baroque work brings together Handel's six organ concertos from Op. 4, composed between 1735 and 1736 as interludes for his oratorios and designed to showcase the soloist's virtuosity with orchestra. Among them, the Concerto in G minor, Op. 4 No. 1, the Concerto in B flat, Op. 4 No. 2 and the Concerto in F, Op. 4 No. 5 stand out.
The recording was made at Holy Cross Church in Fenham (England) on 14 and 15 February 1996, with a total duration of 67:20 and catalogue number 8.553835.
For fans of Baroque music and Handel's concerto works.
