«Nu Monda» is the album by Tcheka, released by Lusafrica on CD with DVD.
Album by Cape Verdean musician Tcheka that combines funaná and morna with Spanish, Latin American and African influences. The nylon-string acoustic guitar and detailed percussion support an expressive voice with very personal registers, far from the fado and jazz of other well-known Cape Verdean voices.
Digipak edition with two discs; the included DVD is in PAL format and distribution is handled by Harmonia Mundi.
For listeners interested in Cape Verdean music seeking a unique fusion of tradition and contemporary arrangements.
