«Northern Star» is Melanie C's debut solo album, released in 2000 by Virgin Records Ltd on CD.
The album shows Melanie C exploring a pop sound with touches of rock, electronica, trance and R&B, away from the Spice Girls' style. It includes the singles «Never Be the Same Again», «I Turn to You» and «Goin' Down».
This 2000 reissue adds the single mixes of «Never Be the Same Again» and «I Turn to You». The album reached number one on the Swedish albums chart.
