«New Flamenco Sound» is the album by Spanish pianist Chano Domínguez, released in 2006 by Emarcy on CD.
Spanish pianist Chano Domínguez places the piano at the centre of a repertoire born from the meeting of jazz and flamenco. Alongside his own compositions, he revives classic pieces from the flamenco tradition and reinterprets them with a jazz idiom, in a work of virtuoso craftsmanship and exploratory spirit.
Spanish edition on a single CD, with a total running time of 61 minutes and 56 seconds. The album's style falls within Latin jazz and flamenco.
For jazz and flamenco listeners interested in the confluence of both musics and in the piano as a lead instrument.
