«Souper Galant» is the chamber music album by Alfredo Bernardini and Masumi Nagasawa, released in 2013 by Etcetera (Harmonia Mundi) on CD.
The CD brings together chamber works by Johann Christian Bach, Johann Sebastian Bach and Abel, performed by Alfredo Bernardini (oboe) and Masumi Nagasawa (harp) on period instruments. The programme evokes the evenings of the «Souper Galant» and presents the Bach family alongside composer friends from their circle.
Recording of a disc. The cover reproduces a Baroque still life with a crab, citrus fruits and a ceramic jug.
For listeners interested in chamber repertoire and period-instrument performance.
