«Música de la Edad Media» is an album of medieval classical music, published in 1994 by Edilibro on CD.
The disc brings together monodic Gregorian chant, the organum of Pérotin, with vocal lines added to ancient chants, and four motets by Machaut, a 14th-century French master. A selection that allows one to appreciate how medieval music leads into the Baroque.
It belongs to the collection «La Gran Música», with a booklet in Spanish and a recording from the Deutsche Grammophon label.
For classical music enthusiasts who want to discover the medieval origins of the Western musical tradition.
