«Metaludios II» is the album by Gustavo Díaz-Jerez, released in 2021 by IBS Classical on CD.
Second volume of the Metaludios series, with twelve piano pieces continuing the previous books. Díaz-Jerez draws on scientific disciplines —astronomy, biology, mathematics or artificial intelligence— and mythological figures to create a virtuoso work combining piano with electronics and extended techniques, with tributes to composers such as Carlo Gesualdo or Antonio José.
Continuation of the first three Metaludios books, recorded in 2018. Recorded at the Auditorio de la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in December 2020; total duration 70:36. Booklet in Spanish and English.
For fans of contemporary classical music and virtuoso piano, with works integrating science and technology into musical language.
