«Mairzy Doats: 24 Great Comic Songs Of The '40s!» is a compilation of comic songs from the 1940s released on CD by Prism Leisure in 1995.
It collects 24 comic songs from American popular humour of the 1940s, with performers such as Spike Jones, Noel Coward, George Formby and Fats Waller. The set evokes the wit and joy of the era; the cover, showing a family beside an old radio, reinforces that nostalgia.
The 24 tracks come from restored original 78 RPM recordings and are performed in English.
For fans of vintage musical humour and 1940s popular culture, as well as collectors of compilations.
