«Madrigali Guerrieri Et Amorosi» is the album by Claudio Monteverdi, released in 2000 by Naive on CD, with La Capella Reial de Catalunya and Jordi Savall.
The CD brings together madrigals from Monteverdi's Eighth Book, a collection that contrasts warlike and amorous pieces. La Capella Reial de Catalunya, conducted by Jordi Savall, performs these vocal works from the Renaissance and Baroque, in a programme representative of 17th-century Italian music.
The madrigals from Monteverdi's Eighth Book were originally published in 1638; this CD edition is a French reissue of a single disc (ES 9944).
