«Machismo» is the studio album by American band Cameo, released in 1988 by Mercury on CD.
The work blends funk, electro and new jack swing across eight tracks, with songs like «You Make Me Work», «I Like The World» and «Promiscuous In The Night», the latter featuring Miles Davis on trumpet. Synthesizers and driving rhythms define a danceable sound very typical of the late eighties.
Produced by Larry Blackmon for Atlanta Artists Productions and Atlanta Artists Records, it includes a single disc and catalogue number 836 002-2.
For fans of funk and new jack swing, with a sound very characteristic of Cameo in 1988.
