«Los Elementos» is the Italian-style harmonic opera by Antonio de Literes, released in 1998 by Deutsche Harmonia Mundi on CD.
«Los Elementos» is a Baroque harmonic opera centred on the four classical elements, within the Italian musical theatre tradition cultivated by Antonio de Literes. The cover, with mythological figures on clouds and a rainbow, evokes that allegorical universe.
The recording is by the ensemble Al Ayre Español, conducted by Eduardo López Banzo, with the voices of Marta Almajano, Anne Grimm, Lola Casariego, Xenia Meijer, Carlos Mena and Jordi Ricart.
For those who enjoy Baroque opera and recordings of classical vocal music.
