«Looking Back Over Chopin» is the album by Andreas Prittwitz and Daniel Del Pino, released in 2012 by CD Baby, on CD.
The album presents an improvised revision of Frédéric Chopin's music, performed with jazz sensibility and neo-romantic style. Andreas Prittwitz and Daniel Del Pino approach these classical pieces from a contemporary musical feeling, without seeking to transform them, but rather to make them their own through interpretation and reverie.
Recorded at the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum in Madrid in February 2012. The album consists of a single CD.
Suitable for lovers of classical music and jazz, especially for those who appreciate improvised revisions of well-known works.
