«Long Gone Before Daylight» is The Cardigans' fifth studio album, released in 2003 by Universal Music AB on CD.
The album shows The Cardigans in a more subdued and melancholic vein than their previous work, with acoustic arrangements, pop rock textures and indie influences. Nina's voice takes centre stage and the lyrics are introspective, with a sound that aims for a live atmosphere. Highlights include 'Communication', 'You're the Storm' and 'Live and Learn'.
Recorded between Sweden, Spain and the UK, the CD includes 11 tracks, catalogue number 067 101-2, with a running time of around 49 minutes.
Will appeal to those looking for melodic, acoustic pop rock from the early 2000s, especially fans of The Cardigans.
