«Landing On Water» is the rock album by Neil Young, released by Geffen Records on CD (in English).
The album alternates hard rock with touches of folk rock and country rock, with songs of prominent guitars and lyrics that look back with irony, like the critique of hippie idealization in «Hippie Dream». Other standout pieces are «Weight Of The World» and «Touch The Night», the latter with children's choruses adding a spiritual nuance. The record also includes «Violent Side», «Bad News Beat» and «Drifter».
Produced by Neil Young and Jimmy Iovine, with Steve Jordan and Danny Kortchmar among the musicians.
Suitable for Neil Young fans and for those seeking the artist's electric, studio phase in the 1980s.
