«Laetemur Augustenses» is the baroque sacred music album by composer Francesco Maria Benedetti, released in 2013 by Stradivarius on CD.
The album revives baroque sacred works linked to Aosta's musical tradition, including pieces such as «Laetemur Augustenses», «Nisi quia Dominus» (1722) and «Beatus Vir» (1723). The performance combines voices and instruments in a chamber style typical of the Italian repertoire of the period.
Performed by the Ensemble Vocale Strumentale della Cappella Musicale di S. Grato, conducted by Teresio Colombotto, with Anna Simboli as soloist. The works are dated between 1700 and 1723.
For fans of baroque sacred repertoire and Italian classical vocal music.
