«La Habana Capital De La Salsa» is the salsa compilation album by various artists, released in 1997 by El Inspector De La Salsa on CD.
A compilation that claims Havana as the capital of salsa; the cover reproduces a private Cuban licence plate from 1997. The album brings together a selection of representative tracks of the Cuban salsa sound, without betting on a single artist, and works as a sonic portrait of the genre's Havana scene.
1997 edition published in Spain with reference CD-9499 and labels El Inspector De La Salsa, Caribe Productions Inc. and Servicios Ibéricos Entertainment, S.A.
For listeners interested in salsa and the Cuban sound of the nineties: a varied compendium of the genre.
