La Belle et la Bête is an opera by Philip Glass based on the film of the same name by Jean Cocteau. This CD edition includes the complete recording of the opera, performed by a cast of renowned singers and musicians. Glass's music is minimalist and repetitive, but it is also very emotional and evocative, creating a magical and surreal atmosphere that perfectly complements the story of the film.
