«Koyaanisqatsi» is the original soundtrack album of the eponymous film, composed by Philip Glass, released on CD.
The Hopi term «koyaanisqatsi» means «life out of balance»; that idea presides over the music composed by Philip Glass for the eponymous film. Its minimalist, repetitive patterns explore the relationship between nature and technology, building a slow sonic journey of almost oceanic, timeless tranquillity.
European import edition, on a single CD, with catalogue number 255 626. The work falls within contemporary classical music and film soundtracks.
Recommended for those who enjoy contemporary classical music, minimalism and cinematic soundtracks.
