«Kool-Aid» is the album by Big Audio Dynamite II, released in 1990 by CBS on cassette.
First work by Big Audio Dynamite II, formed after the dissolution of the group's first incarnation. The sound moves away from conventional rock to get closer to the dance floor: electronics, hip hop, atmospheric samples and catchy melodies within leftfield and alternative rock. The opening track, «Change of Atmosphere» (also known as «Rush»), is one of its representative cuts.
British edition released by CBS, with catalogue code 467466 4 and tape with Dolby noise reduction.
Will appeal to fans of Mick Jones, both for his time in The Clash and for the evolution of the Big Audio Dynamite project towards the electronics of the early nineties.
