«Klavierquartette Op. 25, 26, 60» is the album by the Italian Piano Quartet featuring Brahms's piano quartets, released by Symphonia as a double CD in 2000.
The disc brings together Johannes Brahms's three piano quartets (Op. 25, Op. 26 and Op. 60), performed by the Italian Piano Quartet. The recording was made with original period instruments (violin, viola, cello and fortepiano), lending a historically informed sound to the composer's chamber music.
The Italian Piano Quartet consists of Corrado Bolsi (violin), Angelo Bartoletti (viola), Sandro Meo (cello) and Riccardo Cecchetti (piano).
It is aimed at listeners interested in chamber music and in performance on original instruments.
