«Klassisches Russland» is a classical music compilation with works by Tchaikovsky, Borodin and Glinka, released by Sony Music on CD.
The album brings together 19th-century Russian orchestral works: Tchaikovsky's Solemn Overture 1812, Borodin's Polovtsian Dances and the overture to Glinka's Ruslan and Ludmila, along with other pieces from the same repertoire.
The cover also presents it as Russian Favourites. Performers include Jahni Mardjani, Vato Kahli and Stanislav Gorkovenko with the Georgian Festival Orchestra and the St. Petersburg Radio and TV Symphony Orchestra.
For fans of classical music and the Russian symphonic repertoire.
