«Kind of Blue» is the jazz album by Miles Davis, released in 2010 by Masterworks Singles on CD.
Essential work of modal jazz, with Miles Davis on trumpet accompanied by John Coltrane and Cannonball Adderley on saxophone, Bill Evans on piano, Paul Chambers on double bass and Jimmy Cobb on drums. The compositions, with sober and highly melodic lines, unfold a serene and meditative atmosphere that has made this record a reference of the genre.
The recording, originally released in 1959, is presented as a remastered reissue on CD within the Masterworks Original Albums series.
A jazz classic for enthusiasts and for anyone wanting to approach the modal style.
