«Toccaten & Suiten am Clavichord, vol. 2» is the album by Johann Sebastian Bach performed by Peter Waldner, released by Organroxx on CD.
The CD brings together toccatas and suites by Johann Sebastian Bach performed by Peter Waldner on the clavichord. The recording shows the contrast between the virtuoso character of the toccatas and the structure of the suites, with the intimate and sober sound typical of this keyboard instrument.
The performances were recorded on an Adlung No. 50 clavichord by Joris Potvlieghe, dated 2018. This volume is the second in the series that Peter Waldner devotes to this Bach repertoire.
For fans of Baroque music and historically informed performance on period instruments.
