«Jazz on Broadway» is the jazz album by Paul Smith, Joe La Barbera and Jim De Julio, released in 2000 on the Vertical Jazz label on CD.
The trio of Paul Smith on piano, Joe La Barbera on drums and Jim De Julio on bass performs a repertoire of songs from Broadway musical theatre in a jazz style. The versions retain the melody of the originals and leave room for the ensemble's improvisation, with arrangements that highlight the dialogue between the three instruments.
For fans of trio jazz and for listeners seeking instrumental versions of Broadway songs.
