«Janáček: Piano Works» is the album by Czech composer Leoš Janáček performed on piano by Mikhail Rudy, released in 1990 by Voix de Son Maitre on CD.
The recording brings together Janáček's principal works for solo piano: the Sonata 1.X.1905, the cycles «Dans les brouillards» and «Sur un sentier recouvert», the «Trois danses de Moravie» and other short pieces. The music combines Moravian folklore with a personal, concentrated harmony, with passages of intimate lyricism and moments of great intensity.
Recorded at the Notre-Dame du Liban church in Paris in March 1990. Total duration: 78'48. One disc.
