«Introducing Daby Balde» is the album by Daby Balde, released in 2005 by Introducing Records, on CD.
Senegalese Daby Balde draws on his Fula roots to create a repertoire with arrangements for kora, acoustic guitar, percussion, violin, accordion and flute. The songs alternate an euphoric tone with more melancholic ones, and the voice stands out over the ensemble. It includes tracks such as «Mamadiyel», «Waino Blues» and «Fouladou».
The album brings together thirteen tracks, totals 65:33 in duration and was released in the UK as an enhanced CD with an additional video track.
For fans of world music and African folk, with a special interest in Senegalese artists.
