«Il mare calmo della sera» is Andrea Bocelli's debut album, released in 1994 by Polydor, on CD.
The album shows Andrea Bocelli's starting point as a solo artist: ballads and pieces with a classical air where his voice alternates melodic pop with operatic registers. The title track, «Il mare calmo della sera», with which Bocelli won the San Remo Festival in the new talents category, gives the album its name.
Released on 26 September 1994, this CD contains a single disc and the songs are performed in Italian.
For listeners of contemporary classical music and operatic pop, and for those who want to discover Andrea Bocelli's beginnings.
