«Ignición» is the album by Solar, released in 2013 by Flor Y Nata Records, on CD.
Debut album by Alicante band Solar: pop rock with a progressive air conceived as a film script; ten tracks and four interludes flow as a single 46-minute piece. Pianos, Rhodes, Hammonds, strings, winds and guitars blend with lyrical vocals. The single «Rozando la Perfección» evokes Herbie Hancock, Curtis Mayfield and Air.
The band consists of Mark Dasousa (vocals, keyboards and acoustic guitar), Maria José Bas (vocals, keyboards and percussion), Theo Johnson (guitar), Aitor P. Ciorraga (bass) and Joel Gilabert (drums).
For fans of Spanish-language pop rock with string, wind and synthesizer arrangements.
