«Iberia» is the classical music album by Isaac Albéniz with orchestration by Francisco Guerrero, released by Glossa on CD.
Suite «Iberia» by Isaac Albéniz in an orchestral version by Francisco Guerrero, performed by the Galicia Symphony Orchestra under the direction of José Ramón Encinar. The recording brings to the symphonic plane the six pieces that make up the original work for piano, including Corpus Christi in Seville, El Albaicín and Jerez, and explores the rhythmic and melodic richness of Spanish musical nationalism with a new orchestral timbral palette.
52-minute recording released in 2007 by the Glossa label, on a single stereo CD.
Recommended for fans of Spanish classical music, orchestral repertoire and symphonic versions of piano works.
