«Hanging Around» is the album by Trickbaby, released in 2002 by Gone Fishing on CD.
The album blends electronic, pop and folk with echoes of world music: over downtempo and dub rhythms appear Bollywood textures, indie flashes and female vocals with an emo air. The result is a sweet but raw crossover, with catchy choruses, which the British press called inspired and surprising.
CD edition with one disc, released in the UK. The cover features reviews from The Times, The Observer, The Independent and NME.
Suitable for those seeking electronic pop with a mix of Bollywood, trip hop and dub, and for the curious about the early 2000s British scene.
