«Half The Perfect World» is the album by Madeleine Peyroux, released in 2007 by Emarcy, on CD.
A mix of original compositions and covers of songwriters such as Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Fred Neil and Joni Mitchell, with songs like «River», «Smile» and «La Javanaise». Madeleine Peyroux's voice, close to classic jazz and blues, leads mid-tempo tracks with sober arrangements, acoustic instrumentation and an intimate atmosphere.
Produced by Larry Klein, it features Sam Yahel, Scott Amendola, Gary Foster and Till Brönner, and continues the line of «Careless Love».
Suitable for those seeking serene vocal jazz, as background music for home or dinners with friends.
