«Gran Rapsodia de Aires Populares de Galicia» is the album by the Real Banda de Gaitas conducted by Xosé Lois Foxo, released in 2005 by RTVE, on CD.
The album brings together Galician popular melodies and songs, recreated by the Real Banda de Gaitas with arrangements by Xosé Lois Foxo and collaborations from Cristina Pato, María do Ceo, Rosa Gayoso and Germán Pinto. Voices, bagpipes, whistles, hurdy-gurdy and violin combine in pieces such as «Pastora do Caurel», «Na Feira de San Martiño» and «Romances tradicionais».
Recorded at the Teatro Principal de Santa Julia de Ordes in March 2004. A single disc, produced for RTVE Música within the Xacobeo 2004 programme.
