«Glagolitic Mass; Sinfonietta» is the classical music album by Leoš Janáček, released in 1990 by Polygram Records, on CD.
The album brings together two representative works by the Czech composer Leoš Janáček. The Glagolitic Mass is a monumental choral score of intense spiritual character, alternating imposing passages with moments of quiet reflection. The Sinfonietta, orchestral and luminous, stands out for its brilliant colour, energetic rhythms and festive air.
Kempe conducts the Glagolitic Mass. The Sinfonietta is Abbado's 1969 recording with the London Symphony Orchestra.
For listeners who want to discover two peaks of Janáček's orchestral and choral repertoire.
