«Giants of the Big Band Era» is the jazz album by Les Brown, released in 1991 by Pilz on CD.
The album evokes the golden age of swing with the sound of a large orchestra led by Les Brown: lead winds, danceable rhythm and elegant arrangements typical of the big band repertoire. Its title and cover, showing the musician before an urban silhouette, present it as a tribute to the great band figures.
A record aimed at fans of classic jazz and big band swing, as well as those who want to approach Les Brown's repertoire.
