«Gau Giro» is the album by Kupela Taldea, released in 2000 by Elkar, on CD.
A work of traditional Basque music in which Kupela Taldea, renewed with Xabier Alberdi's trikitixa and Juan Ezenarro's drums, returns to the atmosphere of the village festival and solo dancing. The songs combine tambourine rhythms, percussion and nocturnal moods around the figure of bertsolari Angel Larrañaga, who leads the vocals.
Recorded at Elkar studios, mastered at Musikart, with artistic production by Iker Allur. Featuring Bihotz Gorospe (vocals), Andoni Larrañaga (tambourine) and Fernan Irazoki (percussion).
For listeners of traditional Basque music and world music who appreciate renewed ensembles with a festive, danceable air.
