«Focus» is the jazz album by Stan Getz with arrangements by Eddie Sauter, released in 1997 by Verve Records on CD.
Stan Getz improvises over Eddie Sauter's compositions and orchestral arrangements. The result fuses jazz with a classical music texture, with Getz accompanied by a string orchestra. Down Beat magazine compared this work to the collaborations of Miles Davis and Gil Evans.
The album was originally released in 1961; this 1997 edition is a remastered reissue.
This work is aimed at jazz listeners interested in the fusion of saxophone with orchestral arrangements.
