«Famous Opera Choruses and Arias Vol. 1 & 2» is a compilation of opera arias and choruses by various performers, released by Pilz as a double CD.
It brings together celebrated choruses from the operatic repertoire —«Wachet auf» from The Mastersingers and the wedding march from Lohengrin— with famous arias such as «Vissi d'arte» (Tosca), «Un bel dì» (Madama Butterfly) and «Dich, teure Hallen» (Tannhäuser). The programme also includes Verdi, Bizet, Mozart and Beethoven, with various orchestras and choruses.
Vienna Master Series, German edition. Performers include the Radio Symphony Orchestra and Choir Ljubljana, the Zagreb Philharmonia and the Slovenian Philharmony, among others.
A selection aimed at opera enthusiasts looking for an anthology of well-known pieces in orchestral and choral versions.
