«Eyes Open» is the album by Youssou N'Dour, released in 1992 by Columbia, on CD.
The album combines pop and traditional African music, mainly mbalax, with arrangements aimed at a Western audience and some songs in English. On the cover, Youssou N'Dour appears alongside photographs of Senegalese life, and the lyrics address social and cultural issues with a perspective far from trivial themes.
The CD has a duration of 74 minutes. The album was released by Columbia/Sony Music and edited in Europe.
Recommended for those seeking the fusion of pop and mbalax by a Senegalese artist with international projection.
