«Encanto» is the sixth album by Brazilian singer Rita Benneditto, formerly Rita Ribeiro, released in 2014 by Manaxica and Biscoito Fino, on CD.
The album blends Brazilian popular music with samba and MPB, and incorporates Afro-Brazilian rhythms and chants such as the tambor de mina. The spiritual sound connects with Brazil's traditions and leaves room for percussion and voice. Among the thirteen tracks, «Santa Clara Clareou», «Banho de Manjericão» and «Estrela é Lua Nova» stand out.
Encanto was released in a Digipack with thirteen tracks in Portuguese, produced by Felipe Pinaud and Lancaster Lopes, with the collaboration of Arlindo Cruz and Frejat.
For MPB listeners interested in contemporary fusion with Afro-Brazilian rhythms and chants.
