«Ella and Louis Again» is the vocal jazz album by Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, released by Verve Records in 1957, on CD.
A continuation of their 1956 meeting, the record reunites Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong in a programme of jazz standards. Accompanied by a group led by drummer Louie Bellson, both artists exchange phrases with their characteristic rapport, in a session that reflects the elegance of vocal jazz and the swing of the era.
The album falls within the vocal and swing styles; this CD edition is a reissue of the original 1957 recordings.
For fans of vocal jazz and swing, especially those interested in historic collaborations from the mid-fifties.
