«Electric» is the studio album by The Cult, released in 1987 by Warner Bros / Wea on CD.
Electric shows The Cult in full transition towards a hard rock of resounding guitars and urgent rhythms. Among its tracks stand out «Love Removal Machine», «Lil Devil» and «Wild Flower», along with a version of «Born to Be Wild», on a record that leaves behind the group's gothic streak.
Production was handled by Rick Rubin; engineering and mixing by Andy Wallace. It includes eleven tracks.
For listeners of eighties guitar rock and for those who follow The Cult's career.
