«El Universo de la New Age» is a various artists compilation, released in 1999 by Virgin, on CD.
The album brings together a selection of new age tracks from the Narada and Higher Octave labels, two references of the genre in the nineties. It combines ambient electronic with folk and ethnic-rooted music, and its cover, with a nocturnal marine image, reinforces the serene and contemplative atmosphere of the repertoire.
Compilation released in Spain by Virgin España, S.A.; the cover features the subtitle «El mundo de los sellos Narada / Higher Octave».
For new age listeners looking for a journey through the Narada and Higher Octave catalogues.
