«Dylan & the Dead» is the live album by Bob Dylan and Grateful Dead, released in 1989 by Columbia Records, on CD.
The record captures the on-stage meeting between Bob Dylan and Grateful Dead in 1987: live versions where Dylan's repertoire crosses with folk rock and the band's psychedelic twists. Critics received it with mixed opinions and it was not the expected commercial success, but it remained as a testimony to that collaboration.
The seven recordings come from a joint tour of six dates held in July 1987; single-disc edition.
It will interest fans of Bob Dylan and Grateful Dead, and those looking for live folk rock recordings from the eighties.
